Season Kick-Off Clinic

The Westman Ultimate Disc League and Manitoba Organization of Disc Sports will be hosting the season kick-off clinic tuesday April 26th 7pm at Meadows School Field in Brandon (1220 22nd Street). Come out to learn mean ultimate skills and meet groovy people.

New Time for Pick-up Games
September 1st, 2010
With summer waning and the sun setting earlier and earlier, pick-up games on Tuesday and Thursday evenings will now begin at 6:30pm. Games will still be held at Dinsdale Park.
Also, Sundays at 1:00pm at Dinsdale Park are still happening.

Finals Locations Announced

Please note the Championship final between Finger Flickin Good and The Dirty Pylons will be played at Dinsdale, Tuesday, 7:00 pm.
The fight for 3rd between the UFOs and The Kens will be at Meadows, Tuesday, 7:00 pm.
Good luck to all teams – make it a good final game of the season!
(Don’t forget the last 2010 get together at Clancy’s for free apps!)

Semi-Finals Tonight!

A friendly reminder that the semi-finals are happening tonight! Once again, the games are as follows:
- Flinger Flickin’ Good vs. The Kens @ Dinsdale Park
- Dirty Pylons vs. UFO’s @ Meadows
Both games start at 7pm.
Also, please let your captains know by game-time as to whether or not you can attend the season-end party at Clancy’s happening right after next week’s finals. That’ll help us figure out numbers for getting you some free food at the party.

WUDL featured in “Amateur Sports News”

We’re in the news again!
Recently a shipment of the latest issue of “Amateur Sports News”, which is a periodical that looks at all local amateur sports, arrived as WUDL submitted an article (with pictures from a pick-up game earlier this March) about our league. A limited number of copies are available for anyone who’d like one. They’ll be made available at all pick-up games as well as at Clancy’s after the Tuesday games.

NEW Dinsdale Start Time

WUDL has learned recently that kiddie soccer is now done at Dinsdale Park. Therefore, henceforth all Dinsdale Park games on Tuesdays will begin at 7:00pm, the same time as at Meadows School. Regular time caps at 9:00pm and 9:15pm will now apply at Dinsdale as well.
Pick-up games on Thursday evenings will now also start at 7:00pm.

Clancy’s Discount & Private Room for WUDL Members!

For the second straight year Clancy’s has graciously agreed to sponsor the league by way of providing discounts to our members. With your discount card:
- You get 10% off all regularly priced food, or $5.00 off sampler platters;
- You get a free Molson product after buying five (5) Molson products (card will be stamped);
- This discount is valid any time you go to Clancy’s, not just on Tuesdays after league games; and
- This discount is valid until the end of our summer season.
If you didn’t already get a discount card, when paying at Clancy’s on Tuesday nights just identify yourself and that you’re part of WUDL. Clancy’s management has the names of all registered members to cross-check.
Also, this season Clancy’s has opened up the Roberts Room for us Tuesday nights. Located upstairs at the back, this private room has two pool tables, a dartboard and several TV’s (Wii on one of the TV’s available on request). It’s a great spot to hang out with both team mates and opponents after a hard-fought game. If you haven’t come out yet, check it out!

The May 25th game has been rescheduled to June 3rd for the UFOs and Finger Flickin’ Good. The game will be held at Meadows school at 7:00pm.
Only light rain forcasted for tonight, so game on!
